Terms of Service
Last Updated: December 5th, 2025
1. Agreement & Acceptance
These Terms of Service (the "Terms") set the rules between you and DodoSolve for the DodoSolve website, browser extension, and connected features (together, the "Services"). Installing, opening, or paying for the Services counts as reading and accepting these Terms in full.
- If any part of these Terms doesn't work for you, stop using the Services.
- If you're below the age at which you can form a binding contract where you live, a parent or guardian has to agree on your behalf first.
- These Terms may be updated over time (see Section 9); staying on the Services after an update means you accept the current version.
2. What DodoSolve Does
DodoSolve is a browser extension that reads the Moodle activity open in your tab and surfaces suggested answers and short explanations next to it. It's a study aid meant to speed up review and help you check your reasoning — not a substitute for actually learning the material.
Coverage across common Moodle activity types includes:
- Quiz — multiple choice, true/false, matching, short answer, numerical, and Cloze (embedded-answer) questions.
- Assignment — prompt breakdowns and worked reasoning.
- Lesson — branching content and its question pages.
- H5P and SCORM — interactive and packaged activities where content is readable in the page.
The extension runs client-side in your browser and acts on the page you already have open. It does not defeat logins, proctoring, or any Moodle access control, and it does not reach into your school's servers.
3. Acceptable Use & Academic Integrity
You're responsible for how you use what DodoSolve surfaces. By using the Services you agree to:
- Follow the academic-integrity and assessment rules of your course, instructor, and institution.
- Treat suggestions as study material to understand and verify — not as work to submit blind.
- Keep your use lawful, and never use the Services to cheat, defraud, or gain an unfair edge.
- Own the outcome: submitting an answer is your decision and your responsibility.
Ignoring your institution's rules can lead to failing grades, revoked credit, probation, suspension, or expulsion. Those consequences fall on you, not on DodoSolve.
4. No Affiliation
DodoSolve is an independent product. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by, endorsed by, or connected to Moodle, Moodle Pty Ltd, any school, publisher, or learning platform. Names, logos, and marks that appear are their owners' property and are referenced only to describe compatibility.
5. Provided "As Is"
The Services are offered on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. In particular, we don't promise:
- that any suggested answer or explanation is correct, complete, or right for your assignment;
- that the extension will run without bugs, downtime, or interruptions;
- that it stays compatible as Moodle, themes, plugins, or your browser change;
- that using it will raise a grade or produce any specific result.
Always check the material and confirm answers yourself before relying on them.
6. Subscriptions, Payments & Refunds
- Paid plans (weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual) unlock the Services for the term shown at checkout.
- All sales are final. Payments are non-refundable, including for unused time, early cancellation, or an expired term — subject only to rights you can't waive under applicable law.
- A plan runs for its stated period and doesn't renew or extend on its own; track your own end date to avoid a gap.
- Your login is yours to protect. We don't replace or refund access lost through shared or compromised credentials.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, DodoSolve and the people who build it are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from the Services or your inability to use them. This covers, without limitation:
- lost grades, credit, certifications, time, or study progress;
- academic penalties or disciplinary action, whether or not the Services played a part;
- errors, outages, incompatibility, or data loss;
- reliance on any suggestion the extension produced.
Where liability can't be excluded, it is capped at the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim.
8. Use at Your Own Risk
You use DodoSolve at your own risk and judgment. You decide whether and how to act on anything it surfaces, and you accept the academic, legal, and financial consequences of those choices.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms as the product and the law evolve. Updates take effect once posted here, with a refreshed "Last Updated" date. Check back from time to time — continued use after a change means you accept it.
10. Acknowledgment
By using DodoSolve you confirm that you've read and understood these Terms, that you'll use the Services honestly and within your institution's rules, and that you take responsibility for how you use them.
